| OMG! I can't believe we're getting married in 3 days!!!!!!!!!!!! Where did the year go? I remember the countdown being 322 days! craziness! Anyways, I keep forgetting it's my birthday tomorrow also. It keeps getting overlooked because of the wedding details...but hopefully we'll be able to have a birthday dinner somewhere=) I'm just really excited about the wedding and the honeymoon! I started packing yesterday, and I think I've over packed. I have no idea what to bring! For our honeymoon, we're going on a Mexican Riviera cruise to Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan. We signed up for the various excursions also like snorkeling and the ATVs. We'll have a lot of new "firsts" together which will be fun! We even bought disposable water-proof cameras!! coolest invention ever..haha. As for the actual wedding, I'm really excited to just have everyone there together. I hope everyone dances! I don't want an empty dance floor..haha. All we have to do is put that "Electric Slide" on and you'll see the aunties coming in herds..hehe. What I'm nervous about is the vows and the walking down the aisle. I'm afraid that i'm going to trip or stumble my words! Oh, and I'm also afraid that i'll be coughing or sneezing up there. I've started to get cold symptoms which totally suck! I need to get rid of this bug by Saturday! Okay, well...only 26 minutes left of work..gotta figure out something else to do! -Reeny | | |
| Wow. It's been almost 2 years since i've posted here?! crazy. Anyways, i'm here at work with nothing much to do for the next 40minutes of my shift so I figured that I'd update here. I go here almost every day to read updated posts but never post myself! Bad huh? Okay, well here it goes: Family: Since I last posted, my dad celebrated his 30 year retirement and just recently got a good job!yay. My brother started his first semester at SDSU and is currently in his 2nd semester. My sis is finishing up her last year at college and my mom is same as always!Also, our doggie Banjo turned 12 last December. Friends: We're going to have our first get together in awhile tommorow! I don't think we've seen eachother since November! I can't believe how fast time flies. But anyways, i'm excited to see everyone=) Work: It's been pretty slow here. We've been keeping busy with our own projects, but no travel for awhile. I was actually able to go to Las Vegas for Vault Training this past December so that was a good trip. They usually send us to little towns, so LV was a plus=) Chrisco: 58 more days until I become Mrs. Maze!! We're super excited and ready to begin this next chapter of our lives. It's crazy how this year is our 10 year anniversary too! wow. But yeah, wedding plans are running smoothly now. We've had our low times, but that's behind us now. We just hope that everything goes according to plan and that everyone enjoys! In addition to the wedding, Chris and I have been house hunting. However, house hunting plus wedding planning is a no-no. It's too much to do at once, so we've decided to wait until after the wedding. We were able to get an apartment in Rancho Del Rey BUT, the renters are moving out of my parents' chula vista home so we'll be living there instead. It's bigger, cheaper AND we can leave the house whenever we find our own house. We don't have to be tied down by a lease. So, in the end, I guess everything worked out for ther better. I was a little upset about losing the apartment we found, but I think that he house is a better choice for us now. So now i'm getting excited again!=) Okay, that's it for now. Until next time.. | | |
| 6:48 am Good morning everyone! I'm here sitting by myself at the NFCU Stockbridge branch in Georgia. I've been here in georgia since May 28 and I'm excited to go home July 02! It's been an exciting yet exhausting trip. The reason why I'm here by myself so early in the morning is because today is the employees' graduation for all 4 new branches and they need me to stay here ALL day to watch contractors! Ugh. sucks. I was looking fwd to the graduation because we put so much effort into planning it. I just found out last minute that one trainer from each branch has to stay and watch....and wait. Boring. Well, I brought dvds to watch AND my Harry Potter book to keep me company=)Opening day is this upcoming Monday, June 25. I have confidence in our team and I know the employees will do great..i'm so proud of them=D This trip is definitely not what I expected. In my mind, I pictured just going to the branch and training. But nope, we're basically also the project manager, electrician, cleaning crew, and in charge of every little detail that has to deal with opening a branch. They weren't kidding when they told me that we were going to work long hours. 12-15 hr days is tiring. I don't think I've slept in, in bout' 2 weeks! But even with all that work, the finished product is worth it. Looking at the branch now, compared to when we first walked in, it has done a complete turn-around. First off, Happy Mother's Day! To celebrate, we basically all spent the day together. We went to church in the morning, exchange afterwards (as usual!), to Olive Garden for lunch, to the mall so my mom could do some shopping and then later my mom was able to get a massage. So, HOPEFULLY she had a wonderful Mother's Day because she really deserves it!=D Later, Chrisco came over and he helped me do some grocery shopping and I helped him pick out the perfect hand towel for his newly decorated bathroom. Finding the right color takes time!haha. After he left, I caught "My Big Fat GreeK Wedding" on TV and I was stuck. I love that movie..maybe cause it reminds me of our situation. It gives me hope=)
As for work news, I will finally be moving on from the teller/MSR position! I got a position to work as a Regional Trainer for Navy Federal Credit Union. SooOo..still within the same company, BUT a much better position. Since NFCU is planning on expanding across the US, I will be helping to open up the new branches. With that, there will definitely be ALOT of traveling this year! I know that my team is responsible for the Southwest region of the US, so I'm really excited=D AND training is something that I've been studying at school and is greatly related to my field. BUT, because of the traveling, I will have to postpone my schooling for a bit=/...atleast for the first year. It's sad because I was soOOo close to graduating. I think I only had 2 real classes left and 2months of field work, but with the schedule of my new job..there's no way I could have made it work. I know that this is a great opportunity for me and I don't want to pass it up. I promise to go back and finish my masters for sure later though!
With my Chrisco, everything is going great as well. I know that with the demands of my new job, it will be hard. But I just know that we'll find some way of working it out..because we always do! I thank him so much for being my #1 supporter=D

Wow, it's almost been a whole year since i've updated this thing! I blame myspace and school for it.hehe. It's weird, cause I still go on this everyday just to read on updated blogs..but I never get around to updating mine..so here I am!
School: Oy..school=/ It takes up so much of my free time. I just finished my 12pg paper that's due tomorrow. I have another 10pg one due next Thursday and 2 presentations next week. I'm taking 2 classes at the same time, so alot of things seem to overlap..which is stressing on us. There's only 6 people in my class, so we've become comfortable with each other throughout these 7-8months. We only have 5 more real classes to get through and 2months of field work and we graduate w/ our Masters!yay=) I can't wait. Everything has just been soOoooo hectic. Hopefully this all pays off at the end!
Work: Well, I'm still at NFCU...just not a teller anymore. I'm working on the member service side now..so if you need to open an account or apply for a loan, come visit!hehe. I've been training there for about a month now..and i'm just now getting the hang of it. There's so much information..it's crazy. One thing I've learned is that I hate dealing w/ IRAs..they're so confusing=/ But yah, everything else is okay.
Family: Everything is the same w/ the familia. My offdays are tuesdays now..but i usually spend it doing hw..so I'm not able to visit as much. We do make it a point to go there every weekend though...so atleast we get 2 days with them..AND I have to call my mom everyday. It's such a habit...but I think it's good because we're always updated w/ eachother's lives.=)
Boyfriend: My bebe has been really good lately...especially w/ alla my stress w/ school. I'm so thankful for his patience and his support It's been kind of hard spending quality time together because of my schedule usually. But, we try our best..and it's working, so i'm happy=D Our 7.5 year anniversary is coming up next Wednesday already! I can't believe how time flies like that. It's crazy huh? I don't know what we're doing yet..gotta plan=)
Friends: I love my friends! and i'm so proud of us because we have been good about planning monthly outings...even w/ our busy schedules=) This weekend is my b'day outing ...and we're all planning to go to LA for Medieval Times and Disneyland/Ca. Adventures so I'm excited! I'm just glad that everyone is able to go! Everything is working out perfectly=) so thanks guys!
Alrite..I guess that's about it. Hopefully I'll update more later..maybe w/ pictures from this upcoming weekend..IF I still remember how to put pictures here..hehe. Nite!
